Andrea Frakes Pope has performed as a recitalist and soloist throughout central Illinois, Kansas City and Washington DC. She has performed in the First Baptist Recital Series (Decatur, Illinois), Grace and Holy Trinity Summer Sings Series (Kansas City, Missouri), and Hillside Arts Fellowship Concert Series (Kansas City, Missouri). She has performed as a guest soloist with the Millikin-Decatur Symphony Orchestra, singing Mahler's Fourth Symphony and Mahler’s Kindertotenlieder. She has also sung with the Decatur Municipal Band.

Her opera and oratorio works include Menotti's The Meduim (Madame Flora), Menotti's Old Maid and the Thief (Miss Todd), and Humperdinck's Hänsel and Gretel (Witch), alto soloist for William Mathias' Lux Aeterna with Masterworks Chorus (Washington DC), alto soloist for Mozart's Requiem with Alexandria Chorale (Alexandria, Virginia).

Andrea holds a Master of Arts in vocal music performance from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, where she studied with Patricia Miller. Her Bachelor of Music in vocal performance is from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois. She has participated in masterclasses with Dominic Argento, Mattiwilda Dobbs, and Peter Mark.

Currently, Andrea is instructor of voice and coordinator of voice division at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois.
